Google has the Now Launcher that manages the Android home screen. The application, available in the Play Store, can be installed on virtually any smartphone with the little robot system. Its great advantage is to offer greater integration with Google Now, which is still limited to third-party launchers. However, the company has been working on a new application that will be launched together with the new Nexus and Android Nougat soon.
Goodbye button for apps drawer
Google put an end to the traditional button that opens the system apps drawer. Now to access your applications just slide up on the home screen. You can also access the drawer by tapping the arrow which is just above the dock. The Apps screen has been slightly reworked, with a white background with light transparency. At the top are still displayed the latest apps, and above them is the search bar.
Sai traditional search bar and enter the G button
instead of having a search bar taking the top of the screen, there is a Google button in the upper left corner when touched expands and opens the search bar. From there you can perform any kind of typing search or by voice command through the command ‘OK Google’. Also displayed is a history with the last five research carried out.
New wallpapers manager
Instead of coming with half dozen installed wallpapers, now the new launcher company accesses Google’s servers to download new options for images that are separated by categories. You can also set to make the daily download of a new image and have every day a brand new wallpaper on your smartphone. The feature allows you to limit to the downloads are made only by Wi-Fi.
Shortcut Apps information
When you drag any app on the home screen will display a new option beyond traditional remove and uninstall. Only call ‘information’, the novelty allows you to quickly access information about that app, how to set permissions or access to storage, and can even move the application to the external memory. – If your phone allows you to install app on microSD card
Nexus Installation Launcher
There are two ways to have the Nexus Launcher on your Android. The first is to download the APK file and to install manually. Simply enable “Unknown Sources” on your security settings, download and install nexushome.apk. Once installed, press the home button and select “3 start screen”. However, some features are not available for installation via APK, as the “slide right” to open Google Now cards or wallpaper to change directly by the launcher.
The second method is for anyone who has any alternative recovery. Just download the .ZIP file and play it to the internal or external memory of your smartphone. Enter TWRP or another of your choice, and install the downloaded file. It is not necessary to clear any partition. When falling on the home screen for the first time, choose the “start screen 3″ as the system default. In this mode all features are available, as seen in the video at the beginning of the story.
