Cyanogen makes Android Nougat for the mythical Nexus 4 … – AndroidGeek

The Android is without a shadow of a doubt the best operating system for mobile devices, which already existed. Its enormous flexibility and the power that the system provides is simply unparalleled, and that is why a large part of the manufacturers not relinquish. However, as great as the mobile operating system of Google is its fragmentation. A large part of the manufacturers that use the Android system does not update the system of your devices with the regularity which was desirable, and proof of this, is that in September of this year, Google announced that Lollipop is still the most used version of its operating system, despite this version having been born in 2014.

But fortunately, a large part of the older appliances still with the possibility of being updated with new versions of Android, thanks to custom ROMs. Although these are not considered official updates, it is impressive how dedicated are some developers, who give new life to some of the devices that are considered obsolete by their manufacturers. The last of these cases is the Google Nexus 4, which has just received the nightly version of CyanogenMod 14.

THE CM14 is based on Android 7.1 Nougat, so the Nexus 4 now has access to all the features that the latest version of the Google operating system has to offer. The Nightly builds have a tendency to contain a number of bugs and/or faults, but if you have the old Nexus 4 and feels comfortable with the act of placing a custom ROM, this version is a good option.

for those who want To be even more adventurous with your Nexus 4, Cyanogen also released a compilation of experimental CM14 for the phone, but this is likely to be even more unstable than the nightly version that was released.

If you have the immortal Nexus 4 and install this ROM from Cyanogen, tell us how it was.
