As the Nexus 5 comes out against the Xiaomi Mi 5? [Video] – Tudocelular.com

conferirmos time as two devices with different generations of chips from Qualcomm fare when compared side by side. On the one hand we have the Nexus 5, one of Google gadgets that won more customers, and is the last that came to Brazil. It was so successful that Google the “raised” with the Nexus 5X using the Nexus 5 as inspiration. On the other hand, we have the most basic version of Mi 5 of Xiaomi, not top of the line, which hit record highs in performance AnTuTu.

Among the significant difference between the two, we have the Snapdragon 801 quad core 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU and 820 Snapdragon quad core (2x 1.8 GHz + 2x 1.36 GHz), 3GB of RAM and GPU Adreno 530. it may seem that the Snapdragon 801 is out in front when we considered only the clocks, but we have to remember that are different cores, since Qualcomm started using 64-bit Kryo colors in the Snapdragon 820, against the Krait color 32-bit Nexus 5.

Both bring screens with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) with only a small difference in size (5-inch Nexus 5 on 5, 15-inch Mi 5) and bring the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The difference is that the Mi 5 has been announced with this version, while the Nexus 5 out of Android 4.4 Kit Kat in 2013, along a path to the Marshmallow (after all, it’s a Nexus). Of course, the Mi 5 has the MIUI above, which ends slightly damaging its performance, while the Nexus comes with the pure Android.

As we can see in the video below, the Mi 5 wins in almost all the apps opening tests and multitasking, but by a very small margin . That’s impressive, if we stop to think that the Nexus 5 will make 3-year anniversary this year, while the Mi 5 just hit the market.

in benchmarks, however, the Mi 5 scores more than double the Nexus 5 (109,412 against 47.043 in AnTuTu) when both use the same version of the program. We have here an interesting finding, showing that a considerable difference score between two smartphones says very little if one is faster than another.

This taking into account that we are talking about different architectures with a good space time between them, since the Snapdragon 801 is not so different from previous designs that also use Krait colors. Mi 5 is faster, of course, since it is a new top of the line, but the video shows that those who still have a Nexus 5 is not there big motivations to change it, if the goal is to have a faster smartphone on the day.
