the hands of Insomniac Games arrives Ratchet and Clank: Into The Nexus . There are several titles and sagas Ratchet and Clank but according to some fans, since 2009 the series has been stagnating. Does the 12th entry in the 4th saga Future , will achieve revitalize this series and our two heroes?
“Into The Nexus”, serves as a conclusion to the “Future” saga. His story begins with our friend and his faithful companion Ratchet Clank escorting the metal prison Vartax dangerous Vedra Prog that after a violent assault industries Pollyx set a new record by receiving a fivefold life imprisonment. Nothing could be simpler right? Was not the charismatic brother Vedra, Prog Neftin which to launch an attack on the ship where were our friends ended up leaving them adrift in space. Arriving at the planet Yerek (the how, you have to be to discover) then begins a new adventure where we aim to capture the brothers Prog.
The graphics of this title is quite nice, is not dazzling but can offer in dynamic environments and full of life always accompanied by a sometimes playful and even fun holiday soundtrack. Curious about the latter? We’ll get.
In terms of gameplay, this is precisely where this title shines more and able to innovate, offering fans exactly what they were waiting, some for some time now, a real Ratchet and Clank experience. However, in order to face the various enemies who decide our stand in the way, and turn them into piles of nuts and bolts (the traditional bargaining chip in this series), we need weapons. I guarantee that this department will not be disappointed, since this title offers us a wide and unique range of weapons. Some examples are the Vortex Cannon that creates a black hole that sucks in setting our enemies to another dimension, Winterizer (one of my favorites, I confess) that triggers a tornado that freezes and turns our enemies snowmen to the sound of humming Jingle Bells and Box Nightmare scenario that puts in a gruesome creature to preach a huge scare our enemies attracts to itself the attention of those leaving us free for some time to scatter chaos. Weapons for all tastes, ea ch with its style and utility clear that these are not only there. We also clear the gadgets. Each with its usefulness is these that help us get through the scenarios and completing certain puzzle. Speak eg Rec Streams to create a beam of light in which we float toward another part of the scenario and example of a jetpack that allows us to fly over several areas. To compensate for the short story mode, when we complete the game you unlock a kind of New Game + , named Challenger Mode. In this way we return to the beginning of the story but with everything that had already unlocked, the game becomes more difficult and we can find new and better weapons.
Ratchet and Clank: Into The Nexus is short, but it is nevertheless also be a great experience, perhaps the best in a long time. With many secrets to discover and goals unfulfilled can count on much more than the six hours that the story mode offers. This always with a good disposition and a frantic, explosive and above all fun action.
