Having a Nexus device may not always mean having access to several features that Android and its customizations can offer, but usually the benefits are well worth it. The lucky owners of a Nexus 4, Nexus 7 tablets (both generations) and Nexus 10 can now update their devices through the ROMs available on the Google Developers.

this way, you may already have the KitKat Android 4.4 on your device before everyone and no need to wait for update notifications appear on your smartphone or tablet. Still, it is important to note that the upgrade procedure from a ROM downloaded from the Google Developers entails a lot of complex steps to be followed. Thus, if you have never done a manual update, it is best to ask someone for assistance or read a detailed tutorial before continuing.

To download, simply search your device and operating system version required on this page. If a problem occurs during the upgrade procedure, the site still offers the original ROMs for you to rollback the installation.
