Google want more control over the Nexus smartphones
Apple has complete control over the development and production of their mobile devices. According to a news site The Information, Google searches for the same when it comes to smartphones Nexus range.
Everything seems to indicate that the idea of Mountain View company is to have full control from the a developing device to its production. Thus, the partner companies are prevented from adding any functionality not approved by Google to Nexus smartphones.
It is speculated also that Google wants a dominant position in the smartphone-end market which is currently dominated by Apple and Samsung.
