Android 7.1.1 should arrive on the 5th of December to the devices … – 4gnews (Blog)

There are a few days ago we gave the news that the Android 7.1.1 Nougat reach Nexus devices within the next month. Well, today we bring dates more concrete for the arrival of the new update to the Android Nougat.

The operator of the canadian Rogers announced today that the Android 7.1.1 should be made available to the Nexus devices to update already on the 5th of December in North America. On the other side of the planet comes to us also the news is advanced by Vodafone Australia that Google will be planning the launch of the new Android version for the Nexus 6P on the 6th of December.

The update will total 650MB of memory and brings with it not only the new features of Android 7.1.1, but also a security update. It is good to recall that this update may take up to two weeks to reach all the terminals qualified to receive it, being that, considering these are the dates for the Nexus 6P, the other devices expected to receive soon after the update, it is expected that these devices will be the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, and Pixel C.

As already known, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL already run Android 7.1, but these, too, will receive an update in December, taking into account that these devices will receive their update security monthly.
