Google releases security update for May Android … – Tudocelular.com

May came and with it Google’s security monthly update for Android. As expected, the first week of each month the search giant releases an update that brings several important fixes for the little robot code. This is not the first time we see the May patch being released, Samsung was the first to release the news even in late April for the Galaxy S7 edge.

Now comes the turn of the newest members of the Nexus line will also receive your monthly dose of enhanced security. The news comes Nexus 6P under MTC19T firmware, Nexus 5X (MTC19T), Nexus 6 (MMB30G and MOB30I), Nexus Player (MOB30G), Nexus 9 Wi-Fi and LTE (MOB30G), Nexus 5 (MOB30H) Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi and LTE (MOB30J) and Pixel C (MXC89F).

Google is releasing the update via OTA. The company has also updated the Android development site with factory images of each model. Just pick up the corresponding for your Nexus and install following the steps below:

Required files:

The commands are the same for any Nexus:

  • download the SDK and extract the file in the root of the C: drive on your PC
  •  

  • Download and install the Windows drivers
  •  

  • Turn off your Nexus
  •  

  • Call the holding Volume Less + Power button to enter the fastboot
  •  

  • Connect your device to your PC to install the drivers
  •  

  • Go to the SDK folder unzipped on your PC
  •  

  • Press Shift + Right-click
  •  

  • Select Open Command Window Here
  •  

  • and enter the following commands:
  •  

  • Fastboot devices
  •  

  • Fastboot oem unlock
  •  

Select Yes in the window that appears on your smartphone with the Power button.

After the procedure finished type fastboot reboot and your phone will reboot. The process can take 2 to 3 minutes to complete.

Automatic Method

You will need to draw two times the downloaded image until you reach a file in tar format. . It is recommended to use 7zip for this program

After unpacking the image, follow the steps below:

  • Turn off your Nexus
  •  

  • Enter Fastboot mode (Volume Less + Power button)
  •  

  • Connect your Nexus to your PC
  •  

  • Click the file-all.bat flash file
  •  

  • Wait until the procedure is finished
  •  

  • Your phone will restart in about three minutes
  •  

If you do not restart automatically, select the Recovery option when the green robot appears, press Power button + volume More and select “Wipe data / Factory data reset” .



Unpack the ROM file and pass each file from the Windows command prompt:

  • fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-nomeimmagine.img

  • fastboot reboot-bootloader
  •  

  • fastboot flash radio radio-devicename-nomeimmagine.img
  •  

  • fastboot reboot-bootloader
  •  

  • fastboot flash system system.img

  •

  •  

  • fastboot erase cache

  • fastboot flash cache cache.img

  • fastboot reboot

After following some of the above methods, you will be with the May security update on your Nexus device. Google has not said that the corrections made in the system.

  • The Huawei Nexus 6P is available in Peixe Urbano by R $ 3,259 .
