An owner of a unit of LG Nexus 5X used his account on the internet forum, Reddit, to share a disturbing story in relation to the smartphone, made in partnership with the South Korean company and Google. In a short text posted on the social network, the user AFChimpanse reported that on the night of last Saturday, December 19, he found himself hanging out in the backyard when your copy of the smartphone began to overheat. Frightened, he picked up the phone and placed on the floor, as the heat prevented contact between your hand and the polycarbonate structure, that’s when it noted the result of thermal failure: a melted piece casting, right next to the logo LG, on the back of the model.
I was outside when I felt [the cell] suddenly begin to warm in my pocket, I took it out [pocket] super confused as I felt it heat up even more. Then he began to make a frying noise and smell extremely toxic. And all the cell was too hot for me to handle, so I had to put it on the floor. When picked up again, I noticed a melted hole located at the top right of the LG logo, as shown in the image. I had [smartphone] to about 11 days, I never used boots made by third parties and it was not even connected or something when it happened. Has anyone ever seen something and can advise me? And of course, I will take [the device] to the store where I bought it to get a new device or a refund. – shows the AFChimpanse user on Reddit.
The above picture was published to prove what happened, and you can notice the terrible appearance of molten plastic between the company logo based in South Korea and the name of the electronic, both positioned on the back of the gadget. In most cases of spontaneous combustion and overheating of smartphones, the first question to ask is whether the consumer was or was using outsourced chargers to power the battery power, but, according to the client in question, the only accessory used to recover the cargo of the model was the original Google and LG, so it will be interesting to follow the official advice of some of the two companies involved about what happened.
