Nexus 5 could be the first smartphone from Google to receive … – Tudocelular.com

It’s been three weeks since the first version of Android 5.1.1 was released publicly by Google. We have seen the software coming to devices like the Nexus 9, Nexus 7, and even the Nexus 10 . And while the search giant’s tablets were presented with the new system upgrade, the same can not be said for the company’s smartphones, which ended up into the background this time. This may finally be about to change, according to information released by the American operator Sprint , where it is already preparing the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for their clients.

The operated reports that the major update is almost ready to be released to the Nexus 5. It consists in bringing security fixes and finally the solution to the Android memory leak that is causing the system to devour all the available RAM for failing to free up space no longer used by the system. Correction that began in the Android 5.1 , but not completely resolved. This ends up leaving the Android slow and even causing the applications users are closed.

The new update will be released with build LMY48B , which is the date code more current than any Nexus launch publicly available so far. This means that the Nexus 5 will have any changes made to the code, and already has just about any adjustment made by Google in recent weeks.

The Sprint posted this information today, so there’s a good chance we’ll see the early distribution of this update (and not just for Sprint users) over the next few days.
