Google Nexus 6 arrives this month? – IGN Portugal

According advances the The Wall Street Journal, Google is expected to launch the next Nexus smartphone line, named Shamu code, “this month.”

It is true that there was still no date announced officially, but there are indications that this could happen since the 15th of October, the day before the event that Apple is preparing on the iPad and OS X Yosemite.

Although nothing is certain, the last Nexus then actually be released last year in October, the 31st.

Various sources and rumors have emerged with some intensity in recent weeks, indicating that the smartphone should be a kind of Moto X larger. It is expected that the Nexus 6, produced by Motorola, presents a screen of 5.9 inches with resolution of 2560 x 1440 should also have a 805 Snapdragon processor accompanied by 3GB of RAM.

Recently, Google has submitted an application to the FCC for a new device with a screen of 5.9 inches which made the rumor gaining strength that the new Nexus would have a large screen.

The huge smartphone thus integrates the expanding market of “phablets”, a term used for devices with a screen size of 5 inches or greater, whose size is considered by some too big to be a phone, but also small for a tablet.
