Air iPad 2 hits in 9 HTC Nexus gaming performance – Xpert Mobile

Now the tablet has passed through the GFX Bench tests and showed its capabilities for games. The Air iPad 2 has a GPU from Imagination Technologies’ PowerVR GX6650, while its rival Android in the area, the Google Nexus 9, has a Tegra chip K1 and Kepler graphics. However, NVIDIA uses a different approach to graphics with regarding Kepler GPU from Imagination Technologies. The benchmark tests show that, compared to the performance, the two are almost tied, but the iPad 2 still beats the Air Nexus 9 by a few points.

It is noteworthy that the performance in actual use in daily life also depends on other factors, such as software . Apple already has the “Metal”, which allows games to maximize the performance of hardware and helps greatly in graphics, promising to be 10x faster. And NVIDIA CUDA is a parallel platform that causes the computer device performance is getting better with respect to graphics processing power. There is no doubt that the two new handsets are coming to establish new and better directions for mobile graphics.
