For some time now circulating the rumor that HTC is one of the companies to manufacture Nexus smartphones this year 2016. Moreover it would not be the first device of that line to be manufactured by Taiwanese company that designed the now discontinued tablet Nexus 9.
Recently, rumors came further and even considered the possibility that the HTC manufacture two Nexus handsets this year. Reportedly, the code names of these devices are S1 “Sailfish” and M1 “Marlin”, both based on the current flagship of the company, HTC 10.
According to the source, the Sailfish will be very similar to HTC 10, while the Marlin will be different at least from the hardware point of view, since it is indicated as being equipped with a SoC Sanpdragon 821.
not yet knowing exactly the Snapdragon 821 features , is possibly the successor model 820 or maybe even a slightly modified version.
it is important to note that none of this information is officially confirmed. In fact there are about two weeks an executive of Huawei made statements to the contrary, suggesting that the Chinese giant would produce a Nexus device this year. Given the resounding success of Huawei Nexus 6P in fact would not be out of place that Goolge return to place trust in Huawei.
Who knows, perhaps we will have three Nexus devices in 2016
