Google today released the fourth preview version of Android N for the Nexus line of devices. The third update of the beta code came last month with the Google I / O event, bringing fixes for quick shortcut camera and two new system shortcuts. The search giant said today that the third version was already stable enough to be used on a daily basis. However, today’s update is still in critical bugs that should have been arranged by the company.
The build NPD56N brings the final version of the API 24 for the system, which allows developers to build apps fully compatible with Android and N already send them to the Play Store. However, some problems still can not found this new beta version of Android N:
- Stability:. kernel conflict and unexpected closures may still occur in some smartphones
- Launcher: app drawer can not open after deleting and turn on the mobile screen. To resolve this issue, return to the home screen and then open the app drawer again.
- Boot Configurator:. to enter your email address in the initial configuration of the system, the Android interface may stop responding
- Media: Nexus 9 has problem playing videos in high resolution. YouTube freezing can occur frequently in Pixel C. Nexus 9 also faces problem with videos that use the VP8 codec or DRM protection.
- Storage:. Move apps from internal memory to external can cause crashes
Google is working on these flaws found and will report any progress on dedicated website. Those interested in checking out the new preview version of Android N, just download the appropriate version for your smartphone or tablet directly from Android Beta program. The new firmware is available for the Nexus 5X models, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player and Pixel C.
