Google has always offered factory images for the Nexus devices along with system updates. But these files had a problem: it was necessary to unlock the bootloader to trigger them power, which often could take, and very complicate the process. For Android developers are now adding the complete OTA images, which are the same as the factory images, but without the need to clean the device for this.
The files are available for Pixel models C, 6P Nexus, Nexus 5X, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player. All with the version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. In addition to providing complete OTA files, Google also added the need to accept the terms and conditions of service and privacy. Only by accepting the link to download the images appear. So just look the corresponding image and download. The same goes for the factory images.
Before the installation, Google recommends backing up all your data and personal files, because some things can be lost during the upgrade. The last update date of the OTA files is May 11. Nexus devices 5X, 6P, 6, 9, Player and Pixel C are already in the beta program Android N, for those who are interested.
