First impressions LG Nexus 5X – balance link – Leak

The Nexus smartphones symbolize since birth Android in its purest form, directly out of the Google forges, surrounded by a smartphone superior benefits for a very palatable price. Translated by kids, a Nexus traditionally means a smartphone something cheaper than the equivalent with a stamped mark.

this is always compounded by the direct support of Google, meaning faster updates, or simply updates, given the practices to launch and forget that some manufacturers may be charged.

But the market has changed profoundly. The emergence of the Asian manufacturers bell placed in the mid-range market products and input very attractive range with desirable prices. In these two segments, Google was something behind and beginning to wake up.

In the case of range input, Google has the Android One partnership that exemplifies the BQ Aquaris A4.5 perhaps one of the most complete devices in its price range.

But still lacks a Nexus means that all take advantage Marshmallow capabilities, and adopt new technologies of biometrics and wireless payments. For Huawei got most of the limelight with a Nexus 6P superb specifications, but for the LG was a potentially greater challenge:. The balance

Nexus 5X, LG creates balance

in Google itself, few know so well how to make a Nexus as LG. In recent times, the Korean brand has cemented a name in the field of innovation and experimentation. Perhaps no device embodies so well the state-of-the-art as the fabulous LG V10, we had the opportunity to review recently.

The LG Nexus 5X is not in the same league of its luxurious brother, but this inherits various technologies and LG brand images. Starting with the processor.
LG has equipped its Nexus vision with the same Snapdragon 808 of LG V10 and G4, and although it has taken some RAM to get the 2GB, in everyday situations is expected to the performance of the three devices is very similar. The Nexus 5X, however, has a substantially lower price. The Adreno 418 also should feel more comfortable with the screen 5.5 inch FHD, which with 2K of the other two models.

The most obvious similarities end here. The 12.2MP the main chamber are modest, but it is necessary to highlight the laser focus and dual flash. However, this Sony sensor, which is found on the same Nexus 6P has some secrets to take into account. First, is a ½.3 inch sensor, and brings pixels of 1.55 microns, designed therefore to lower light conditions.

The camera of the LG Nexus 5X is more interesting than let guess its 12 MP.

This is not a savings sensor. Rather, it is the latest trend in mobile sensors, so that the Samsung S7 to iPhone SE, through briefly revealed P9, the sensors 12 MP with better image quality in low light are the order of the day. Here, therefore, the latest Nexus can be said as pioneers.

In fact, the resolution capability of this camera turns out to be substantially identical to a 16MP sensor. This is because sensors as found in the LG V10 has a 16: 9 while the Nexus has 4: 3 format. The loss in pixels results effectively a narrower sensor but roughly the same height, so with density substantially identical pixels. Of course fans. 16: 9 will eventually lose more, but does not seem to go there where very criticize the performance of the Nexus 5X

feature less visible but equally interesting is the hub sensor. Indeed a coprocessor, the hub sensor keeps the device in a state of low latency that enables display notifications and recognize that the phone is moving. Simply pick up the Nexus 5X and notifications appear in a monochrome display low energy consumption. The system is very useful and interesting. Allows great savings in battery, monitor device sensors, and so not only disables unnecessary functions in standby, as detects the movement when we took the device, unauthorized access to notifications without asking the main processor.

outside, the Nexus 5X is embodied simplicity. The buttons are on the side, contrary to what has been the rule in LG, leaving the rear of the fingerprint sensor, and the photo module. This is appreciably raised, although we do not have image stabilization. The material is plastic, velvety texture, which is great to the touch and provides good grip.

If there is something we can say the device is that it is much more aesthetically pleasing live simply in photographs. At right time to slot the nano SIM card and, surprisingly, there is no room for a memory card. Given that the basic version of Nexus 5X has only 16GB of storage, this seems to us an extremely limiting factor.

It is more than certain that, in today’s world, cloud services allow around many storage needs. By method, the author sends to cloud their work files, but working with media in these terms requires generous tariffs that not everyone has. There is however an impossibility, and we’ll see if we can live today with local storage of these dimensions

The key features:.

  • Display IPS LCS 5.2 inch FHD , Gorilla Glass 3
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 quad-core 1:44 GHz Cortex-A53 and dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57
  • GPU Adreno 418
  • 2GB RAM / 16GB ROM
  • Cameras: rear 12MP, f / 2.0, dual flash, focus laser, video up to 2160p @ 60fps
    Front 5MP f / 2.0
  • 2700mAh Battery

Expectations

All the added detail, the LG Nexus 5X Nexus is always more balanced, at least in part. If you do not seem to have powerful hardware contextual comparison to some of its predecessors, it comes to us clearly able to fight obsolescence in all but the internal memory, an option something questionable.
But, as we speak, we have the Nexus 5X fully operational with Android N, and this is a chance to watch only a handful of devices. Few months after launch, Nexus 5X already finds new functionality at a time when the overwhelming majority of Android devices has not even reached the Marshmallow or know when arrive. And that, for many, makes all the difference.
