Mulder and Scully use Nexus devices in the new series of The X-Files – Tudocelular.com

The acclaimed X-Files series is back after 14 years, to the enthusiasm of fans, including many geeks are passionate about technology. Leaving a little aside the old conspiracy theories of the years 80/90, Series combines the most current topics such as government surveillance and espionage with the indispensable search for aliens on earth.

As is common to see in some US series, technology companies take advantage of the hype to insert discrete disclosures. No one knows for sure if this is exactly the case, as it is not very noticeable, but the fact is that when watching the first episode, we realize that the main characters, Mulder and Scully are using Nexus Google devices.

The most curious, and even more leaves in doubt if Google has its finger on this choice of device is that viewers may notice that the Nexus models used are old. The buttons on the screen are the old KitKat, but the rest looks like a custom interface, probably remodeled for television.

The Fox Mulder is using a Nexus 5. Although in one case, the camera lens big identifies the device. Meanwhile, Dana Scully is slightly updated, using a Nexus 6.

Fourteen years after the end of the classic series The X-Files, the six new episodes the series of Chris Carter, who prefers to call them mini-series, makes up the mythology, ie, episodes that will be part of any “dramatic arc” of the series.
