Comparison: Nexus 6 vs Moto X – Tudocelular.com

The Nexus 6 has not yet come to Brazil and Motorola does not comment on when this might occur, let alone Google. Still decided to put this smartphone side by side from a distant cousin who share very similar hardware and is available for a price much more attractive: the Moto X. Is it worth the investment in a pure Android, or is it better to save and take an Android-almost-than-pure and the same brand?

design

This way the two models are similar in almost all lines, if not look at the physical size. Both deliver an aluminum rim with the same divisions for antennas, with the same configuration connectors and buttons for functions like volume and on / off. In addition, the two deliver a slightly curved back, but the most comfortable grip is on the side of Moto X, because of its small size. It fits with less discomfort than Nexus 6, even with very similar lines. Another difference in design is the top edges and bottom of the screen, only the Nexus 6 offers from both sides and reproduction in stereo speaker. – Moto X shows only bars, but does not provide audio for both

This way hit the family key 800 Snaodragon, showing little difference as we advance the numbers and the performance is very similar. The Nexus 6 goes from a 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core and the Moto X will Snapdragon 801 that runs also four cores, only at 2.5 GHz and accompanied by a GPU Adreno 330, against 420 Nexus. In RAM have a pretty big difference and actually making improvements to the Nexus 6, which delivers 3 GB against the 2 GB Moto X. Not that 2 GB are not able to run and Android, but 3GB run better a quantity most apps open at once without showing choking. Open apps like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram was faster on the Nexus 6 and this may be related more to Android cleaner than the extra 200 MHz processor. Games tested the Asphalt 8 that different apps, opened the first and finished loading the track Moto X. In games this difference may be related to the number of screen pixels, which is twice as high in Nexus 6 than in the Moto X – the GPU works twice more, the processor works harder and it makes the performance fall

Camera

. Both devices have image sensor that works in 13 megapixels. The Moto X managed photos with higher brightness (HDR better) than the Nexus 6, but the amount of detail was better on the Nexus 6 and this is related to post-processing that is done by Google app top shape camera to that the Motorola app does. In night shots this difference is even greater and the Moto X made more grainy images. The two had a great job in time to focus in low light, losing focus with great ease.

Conclusion

The two tested models feature 32 GB internal storage with no possibility of expansion, which is good for good amount of apps and games. The battery Nexsus 6 is much higher and this results in greater autonomy – even if the pure Android does not work with almost any good native power management (yes, just download any app that does it). The Android Nexus 6 is updated before all other competitors, which creates another plus point for the Nexus line. The problem is that the Nexus 6, out there, is far more expensive than the Moto X, which has no negative points so great to offset the “misses, it takes a Nexus 6″. Even if the Nexus 6 arrive in Brazil, the purchase of Moto X will bring a much greater value for money. Oh, another thing, the Nexus 6 does not have rear leather or bamboo, something unique Moto X.
