Some Nexus 6P affected by bootloops – TekGenius

The Huawei Nexus 6P may have been the last Nexus to have been manufactured, but still continues to be a device quite interesting and solid. Finally Google decided to release the update for Android Nougat, however it seems that some users are having problems after the update.

After you have updated your Nexus 6P, some users have used Reddit to report that your equipment are in a bootloop, or are in an infinite loop trying to boot, never getting to boot the Android.

however, an element that represents Google on Reddit, ensures that this situation has nothing to do with software but rather with a problem at the hardware level:

We understand that there are a small number of users who are having problems of bootloop on your devices. We continue to investigate the situation, but we can guarantee that it is a hardware problem. for those who are having problems, please contact the store where you bought the equipment to trigger the guarantee or repair options

Many users report that already tried to flash the factory images or even perform a wipe to the Nexus 6P, but still have not had any luck. It seems that, after contacting Google, it is certain that the brand will send new devices renovated, and yet it is not certain that the warranty is extended to the devices refurbished.

But in the midst of the bad news, there is a user who has already managed to solve the problem of your device. With the name 'DartmouthBG', this user of reddit achieved that on your Nexus 6P to come out of bootloop with a clean cache and then doing a wipe data.

"the Solution was to clear cache, then wipe data. Phone ended up rebooting correctly, but had to restore the phone. It’s a pain, but at least it’s working again."

The more strange is that it seems that some Nexus devices 5X are also having the same problems that the Nexus 6P, right after the update to the Nougat. This raises some doubts about the response from Google, which reported that the problem would be hardware and not software.

it Seems that this week the parties will not be very quiet for the team of Google, that will have to show themselves able to resolve these issues in its two Nexus.
