The Google yesterday introduced the second generation of its popular 7-inch tablet, Google Nexus 7. The result of a successful collaboration with Asus, responsible for producing the equipment, the new tablet is essentially based on the proposal that made its predecessor so popular:. good technical specifications combined with affordable prices and the latest software from US giant
For the first Nexus 7, the new tablet from Google features an improved screen and a higher processing power: the display shows a very high resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels with a pixel density of 320 per inch, currently the highest market within the segment of 7-inch tablets. In relation to the new Nexus 7 processor, Google’s tablet comes equipped with a quad-core 1.5 GHz and even 2 GB of RAM.
Some interesting aspects about the new tablet from Google and Asus: the screen exactly retains the same measures, but the end result is a slightly smaller tablet and lighter than its predecessor
.
It is the same Nexus 7 ever, only improved
The new Google Nexus 7 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean source, includes a 5 MP camera with support for video recording in Full HD (1080p) and updated connectivity options, including support for Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
Technically Google Nexus 7 will be available in three versions, although only with two different storage capacities: in addition to versions with 16 GB and 32 GB of space, Google will launch on the market versions with Wi support Fi and Wi-Fi + LTE (available only with 32 GB) to take advantage of 4G networks. Regarding prices this means that Google Nexus 7 will be situated between $ 230 (16 GB, Wi-Fi) and $ 350 (32GB, Wi-Fi + LTE).
Do not yet known when this tablet will arrive in Portugal.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean still
Like it is tradition, the introduction of a new Nexus has been accompanied by the release of a new version of the operating system of the US giant. Contrary to what many expected, this new version of Android was not 5.0 (Key Lime Pie), but rather an update to the existing Android Jelly Bean.
With regard to the news that this new version of the system operating company brings, we now have the possibility to create sessions for different users, such as a desktop computer. Thus it is possible an administrator to set different access privileges for each user.
The other innovations have focused more on Google services than actually in operating system features. There was special focus on Google Play Games, a new service for social games that brings together on the same screen all user friends together with your favorite games.
