The Nexus 7 was chosen by Google device to initiate a line of 7-inch tablets at an affordable and very good price performance. The first Nexus 7 has created great indignation among Android users and their fame went then to his successor in 2013, which continued to provide very good performance at an extremely competitive market price.
After the release of Nexus 9, was not revealed any information about the possibility of a new 7-inch tablet, which left hovering in the air the feeling that the fate of the Nexus 7 line would have been drawn. Yesterday was the day that this fate was confirmed because Google removed the tablet from your list of devices in the Google Store.
The Google Nexus project has undergone major changes in recent years, moving away from each more philosophy to market extremely accessible devices in its price, starting to give preference to high-end devices. Unfortunately, this change in philosophy also ended up bringing the already recognized high prices of high-end devices, which was quite evident with the price of the Nexus 9 to be twice the price of the previous Nexus 7.
Although this is a sad ending for the Nexus line 7, much thanks to this Google initiative there are currently several 7-inch tablets on the market that continue to offer a quite reasonable performance and to maintain very competitive prices.
