Firefox OS to run on the Nexus 5 - Tech & Net

free mobile operating / operating system from Mozilla – Firefox OS – is also an open system such as Android, but received very little attention from the community following their release. The devices released with Firefox OS were almost unknown companies, and the immature nature of the operating / OS ended up not helping.

The fact that an open system makes it perfect to adapt to other existing Android devices, thereby achieving put Firefox OS to run on devices that were not designed specifically for it, as has happened with the Nexus 4, Nexus One and HTC 7

The latest addition to this list was the Nexus 5. The initial version is stable enough for experimental purposes, however not proved stable to be used as princiapl ROM from day to day.

Despite the bugs preventing their daily use, this is a very good opportunity to get experience Firefox OS without having to invest in a new device.

So far there are 4 essential functionality that are not in operation, they being the camera, wi-fi, bluetooth and signal network (internet).

installation of the ROM is done the same way as any other custom ROM, it is only necessary that the Nexus 5 has the bootloader unlocked and a recovery like CWM or TWRP installed. For more information please consult the official thread this ROM .
