Nexus devices receive security updates – News Minute to (press release)

Google released the security update for the Nexus by updating ‘over-the-air’ as part of the security process for Android.

The biggest problem that this update resolves concerns a critical security vulnerability that could allow remote code execution on affected devices, reports the Tech2. Email, browser and MMS were just some of the methods that could be used to enter the smartphone.

The Android security platform and service protections, such as SafetyNet, will provide mitigations to these problems. Google advises its users to accept updates.
