Motorola is working with Google’s new Nexus device – Canaltech

For some time, rumors have indicated that Google abandon the Nexus program to invest in the initiative Silver rel=”i190″>. However, new information indicate that the Nexus did not die and may soon be a new Nexus phone is launched in the market, according to information from Dave Burke during the Google I / O.

Motorola, which Google broke in January, may be betting on a new device besides the Moto X +1. The new device, codenamed Shamu, would indeed be a Nexus phone. The information disclosed by the website Android Police bring a few additional details. They indicate that the new gadget have a 5.9 inch screen and a fingerprint reader. It would be very different from Moto X +1, for example, with a 5.1 inch screen. The Shamu would have a launch scheduled for November, according to the website, but it reinforces that this information may change with ease.

On a scale 0-10, Android Police believes that the level of confidence rumor is “6.5″. The information shows that Shamu is in active development, with a strong candidate to be part of the Nexus program, but does not rule out that changes in hardware are very frequent even with a prototype ready.
