After selling Motorola, Google should give up the Nexus line - InfoMoney

SAO PAULO – Last week, the Google chose Motorola to sell Lenovo for $ 2.91 billion. Now, rumors suggest that the company intends to phase out the line of smartphones to introduce new products Google Play Edition .

According to CNet site, the company will launch two or three products with the Nexus brand this year, but will discontinue the line in 2015. On the one hand, the rumors make sense, since Google Play Edition is available on many devices such as the G Moto, Motorola, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One

On the other hand, it is hard to imagine that Google will want to move away from a brand that spent five years in development. In addition, more sophisticated devices Nexus line are cheaper than Google Play Edition smartphones.
