Google is not yet ready to end the line Nexus. Contrary to what almost all have been believing in the past few weeks, the smartphones Pixel and Pixel XL will not be substitutes from the famous family of devices with pure Android, but a kind of “distraction”. At least that’s what believe the editor of the site 9to5Google, Stephen Hall.
Nexus is not dead.
With a tweet laconic, Hall reminded his followers that the fact that there are two Android smartphones, the new to be announced by Google does not mean that the line Nexus has "dead". the "Was just renamed", replied to a user, to which Hall replied that "no, she literally is not dead". Then the follower seems to have understood: "so is a distraction to the legal Nexus?"> > > > > . <>"Yes", ‘ replied the editor of 9to5Google.
Hall only interacted with a second follower, which reminded me of the line in Pixel co-existed with the Nexus for years. Later, he retweetou a question about the possibility of the Nexus back to the roots and be released experimentally with the Andromeda, but without adding much of anything.
And he returned to the subject rescuing a tweet own June, which provided for three devices line Nexus for this year: two from HTC and one from Huawei. It was not clear whether he was referring to Pixel and Pixel XL, on the part of the first, and a tablet of the second, all with advertisement scheduled for October 4.
The case has some aspects similar to the line Moto X, which Motorola stated that they had not ceased to exist, while announcing the Moto Z, but also has not announced any new smartphone family earlier. It remains to wait to see what will be the connection of the Pixel with the line, Nexus, or if you have other devices not yet reported to be announced in the event Google – or even later.
what is Google plotting for their lines in the coming months, and what changes will be planning, only we will know in the next few days. Everything seems to be connected to the Project Andromeda. We will have an answer, probably, on the 4th of October. As anticipated, the vice-president of Android, Hiroshi Lockheimer, "I feel that after 8 years, we will be talking about the day 4 of October 2016". Is to wait and see.
