Comparison: Galaxy S6 Edge vs Nexus 6 – Tudocelular.com

Google believed it would not be interesting launch the Nexus 6 in Brazil, leaving the country shorn of part of the Nexus line. On the other hand, Samsung ran to bring his most stout, and quite innovative, smartphone, the Galaxy S6 Edge . Will the Nexus 6 has the firepower to face the S6 Edge facing? That’s what I intend to present to you, in this comparison.

design

There is much difference between both sides here, with line on Nexus 6 reminiscent a mix between Moto X and Moto Maxx , but with almost no visible mark to remember that this device was made by Motorola – as well as design tips. The body is made of metal and plastic edges on the back, very robust and has great footprint – this feature that appears well due to the slightly curved back. But the S6 Edge is straighter, with less curved angles and with a screen that folds into the side. It’s beautiful, it is the body metal edges and glass in front, but does not offer the same footprint. The back is straight and all the sides were left with little room for your fingers – the fault of the curved screen. We have a tie, with better grip on the Nexus 6 and more beauty-side S6 Edge.

Hardware

The Nexus 6 is equipped with a Snapdragon processor 805 that runs four cores at 2.5 GHz, along with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of internal space with a GPU Adreno 420. Since the S6 Edge comes with a Exynos 7420 quad-core running at 1.5 GHz and other four in 2.1 GHz, accompanied by the same amount of RAM and options of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of internal memory, while the GPU is a Mali-T760MP8. Translating this mess of strange names and numbers that do not appear to make sense, we have a spectacular performance on both sides, but with better results in the Galaxy S6 Edge, by default the account of internal memory used, which is faster than the Nexus 6. Even with this advantage, apps like Facebook open at the same time in both devices, Instagram and Twitter opening little in front of the Nexus 6. In games, tested the Asphalt 8 that much better in S6 Edge rolled to the first load track and display a frame rate per second more – this means that the animations are more fluid in S6 Edge, than the Nexus 6. Winner in this regard? Is the S6 Edge.

Camera

The S6 Edge comes with a 16 megapixel camera, 13 megapixels against the Nexus 6. In addition to the difference in resolution , the final quality of the pictures is better on the Samsung device in photos with good lighting conditions, as well as in night shots or taken with low-light conditions. S6 Edge wins, handily, this way.

Conclusion

I can not see which one has the best value for money, as Nexus 6 not It was released in Brazil. Looking only at the cold comparison, only with test results, the Nexus 6 loses by having a slightly lower performance and quality camera much lower than the S6 Edge can. Only real advantage of Nexus 6 is to receive updates with a lot more speed than the S6 Edge, since we are a pure Android without any changes by manufacturer or service provider. Winner is the Galaxy S6 Edge.
