The Nexus 5 has been officially discontinued and is currently almost impossible to get one in the United States. The news was not well received by fans of the line and the Android Pure, who saw their options are reduced to that of the Google initiative.
But it looks like the Nexus 5 has not been fully taken out of the map, at least not at the Google, and it seems the device also serves as a device for testing and is used by Googlers and the company’s developers.
We can see this in one of the dissemination of videos Android Developers Google M, where a Nexus 5 comes on the scene to show support for fingerprint reading and Android Pay in the new version of the operating system. This means that the device, in addition to making an unexpected appearance, also has an unexpected feature, which is the biometric sensor to read.
Not very likely (almost certain) he will not be released or sold to users. But at least it makes it clear that Google has a Nexus with 5 sensor for fingerprint reading and using the device to test the Android M. Not that he seems a smartphone that call a lot of attention, especially with the sensor positioned on the back, . but it’s something interesting to see
Check out the Nexus 5 appearance in the video below, which takes place from 2:56:
