Yesterday (26/02), the first rumor that Google was considering came close a partnership with a Chinese manufacturer to produce the Nexus 2015. With that, we had in mind that the the search giant choose between Huawei , Lenovo and Xiaomi , which are the country’s largest manufacturers of smartphones.
Today , a new rumor comes to make the news more interesting. Google is looking for not just a manufacturer, but two. The company may close a partnership with Huawei and LG , which has produced two models for the company, the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. However, it was not yet clear whether we will have two smartphones, or is being considered the production of a tablet.
The source claims that LG may be responsible for the development of the next Nexus smartphone, maybe something inspired by the G4 that will be released soon. While Huawei would be on behalf of a tablet, as with HTC last year with the Nexus 9 and Asus in previous years with the Nexus 7.
Other information given by rumor involves the chipset used. After Samsung have cut ties with Qualcomm recently, it seems that Google intends to do the same. Thus, the new Nexus would not come with Snapdragon processor, but a manufactured by the LG, perhaps the NUCLUN . The same can apply to Huawei that can bring the new Nexus tablet with its own chipset, the Kirin .
Remember that these are initial rumors and may not be founded since Google has always maintained a good policy with Qualcomm. But for fans of the LG, this is an interesting news to learn that South Korea is back in charge of the Nexus line.
