Announced last week, Google Nexus 5 is one of the most powerful Android smartphones that have been launched in the market – both for the quality system as the hardware present on the device. But despite offering amazing results for all consumers, there are several reports that the Nexus 5 leaves a little to be desired in a question that can be very interesting for some: the integrated digital camera.

But it can stay in the past, because some independent developers have created a custom application that promises to get the very best camera in the Nexus 5, ignoring the limitations that were imposed by the original software. The result is available at the XDA Developers forum – one of the central fuller information for developers.

programmer Jishnu Sur, responsible for the new application, states have created a ferramneta app that replaces the original Camera Nexus 5, applying a series of modifications to the system. According to him, it is necessary to have an unlocked bootloader so that the system can be installed on the device, which also must be already rootado. Below is the list of changes brought by the new app:

  • Sound recording in stereo (use of two microphones);
  • Autofocus faster;
  • recording videos in 720p front camera;
  • Audio recording of a front camera at 192 Kbps;
  • AntiBanding 50 Hz;
  • adjustments in focus range
  • Smoothing integrated zoom;
  • Enhancement edges.
