Nexus 7 reboot July launch date leaks in Asus support chat - Know Your Mobile

Screenshots of an Alleged webchat with Asus Live Chat Support have emerged online hinting at When We might see the launch of the Nexus 7 reboot, rumored to sport a landmark 330 pixels-per-inch (ppi) Full HD 1080p display.

  • Jelly Bean 4.3 on Nexus to launch mid-July Edition device?
  • Nexus 7 2nd gen turns up in FCC listing
  • Nexus 7 reboot launching soon with ultra-sharp HD display
  • Nexus 7 Full HD successor Could cost £ 182 and launch in July

The shots come via Reddit and may be a hoax, but They Do depict the transcript of the chat session from an Android device where the user asks an Asus representative support a series of questions about the Asus K009. That codename has previously been associated in leaks and rumors with the Nexus 7 reboot.

Initially the support agent que outlines the device ‘should be released before the ending of Q2,’ but When pushed Further says ‘before the ending of July’.

There are a few errors in the dialogue and it’s not clear Whether the rep is a native speaker Inglês, Which may explain some of the gaffes. We’d guess the que Asus employee may have meant the end of Q3 is que late July date.

The user then asks about specs and while the agent states the specs are not confirmed They reveal some of the ‘basic specifications’, Which include a 7-inch LED-backlit display with the rumored 1980×1200 Full HD pixel resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 4,000 mAh battery, Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), NFC, 4G and a 5-megapixel camera.

Asus’ rep then goes on to clarify: ‘This is internal specs … but it is not available to the public as yet.’

The rumor mill would suggest que Also there’s the K008 version in the works without 3G/4G data connectivity.

We happen to think this is legit, primarily because all the other rumors surrounding Android 4.3 Jelly Bean suggest it will launch in July aboard the Nexus branded device. That fits pretty well with this leaked info.

We’ll keep an eye out for more details and bring you to the info we get it.
