About Nexus program
Since 2010, Google, in partnership with other brands, has been launching devices the Nexus range.
they are devices that run the Android operating system in its purest state (ie, without modification, as with Samsung, LG and Huawei, for example) and are the first to receive system updates
in the program, Google is responsible for the design, development, marketing and product support, while manufacturing is in charge of a foreign brand -.. LG and Huawei, for example

We tested the LG Nexus 5X . But before our analysis to this Android phone mid-range, important to know two things:
1 – This is probably the last Nexus phone that LG manufactures in the homonymous program of Google, according with advanced information by CNet
2. – have circulated rumors that the next Nexus phones can be produced by Google itself and not by other brands, as happened so far. To be true, the LG 5X and brother Huawei 6P are probably the latest models of the Nexus range to be manufactured in these conditions.

Once the introduction, we move the product. In the more physical side, the Nexus 5X is very light (weighs just over 130 grams) but simultaneously looks tough and rugged. It has a design very smooth and elegant with reasonable quality finishes. The back of the device is quite adherent and, in front, Google has chosen a model almost symmetrical . In part, this symmetry is responsible for the elegance of this mobile phone. However, as we shall see, this does not make much sense from a technical point of view
It has a touch screen 5.2 inch -. Therefore, in line with the current dimensions standard adopted by the industry – with an image quality that satisfies enough. It is a Full HD Resolution (1080 by 1920 pixels), with approximately 423 pixels per inch. The little icing on this cake is undoubtedly the Protection Gorilla Glass 3 , which gives the screen Nexus 5X superior resistance to damage. – Risks and losses
5X has two cameras . The front, for selfies , has a sensor five megapixel . And although it has a satisfactory quality, the effort could be higher compared to the 12.3 megapixels of the main camera sensor , set in a huge boss – perhaps too prominent – at the top and center of the rear of the unit .
This phone shooting in quality 4K , an important detail that both the catapult to the forefront of technology (at the level of the top models of major brands) as the heat without pity or mercy. That’s right: the 5X gets hot while shooting at full resolution. Still, nothing seems problematic for the device, and may only cause some discomfort in use. Should also be noted that this camera is supported by a system flash with two LED (which allow a better color adjustment) and autofocus by laser .

So is relatively easy to get the hang and forget once the unlock codes . Of course, for security reasons, it is still necessary to set up a PIN that must be entered the first time you turn on your phone. But after that, the unlocking can be done using only the thumb. And you can set up to five fingerprints.

As mentioned, the front of the Nexus 5X has a symmetrical design that works very well aesthetically. But we can not say the same from a technical point of view. Because? Look at the picture above this paragraph. See the two openings in the device ends? It is that, although similar, play very different roles : the left is a headphone, while the right is the only device column. In other words, forget the symmetrical and stereo sound to come out the same intensity on both sides of the device, as in the Nexus 6, Motorola. And forget also watch movies or series without headphones while holding the side of your phone (so landscape .) – Will be covering the column with hand
as for performance, the use is very fluid and the Nexus 5X responds effectively to the main tasks of everyday life. Contributing to this are the 2 GB of RAM and processors Quad-core 1:44 GHz Cortex-A53 and Dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex -A57 ( six-core in total).
it should also be noted that, as might be expected, this phone also includes the already usual sensors in most smartphones . We speak, of course, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass, barometer, Bluetooth connectivity and NFC. The battery 2700 mAh ensures charge for a day of moderate use.

Finally, Google turned the page to opt for the new USB-C technology (also called USB Type- C ), leaving the USB Micro. In practice, this means faster uploads and higher data transfer speed . The two cable ends are symmetrical (no longer need to hit with the correct seating position) and are not compatible with other types of USB.
The Nexus 5X is on sale in Portugal since end of last year. It is available in three colors (Carbon, Quartz, Ice – black, white and blue-gray) and the versions of 16 GB or 32 GB storage, which cost 430 and 480 euros, respectively . (official prices in the Google store)
Note: during the celebration of the first anniversary of the Google Store, 5X Nexus will be on sale with a discount of 80 €. The promotion ends on March 27.
