[Nexus Nexus 4 and 5 suffer from extremely low levels of sound ... - Xpert Mobile

Each user has their own way of using smartphones. Some people rely on them to surf the web and run applications for text messages, phone calls or perform simple. Even within the latter category mentioned is possible to adopt different usage patterns using headphones or wired to avoid holding a 5-inch smartphone to your ear. Unfortunately, these accessories with yarn may also be affected by bugs, and both the Nexus as the Nexus 4 5 seem to suffer from a large well.

Happens that the recording level of these built-in microphones can be painfully low, making it difficult conversations if not impossible. There are many variables here, just a clear and specific problem:? Gain entry into in-line microphone is incredibly low in Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. There are reports that users on the other end of a conversation describing the speech of the owner of the Nexus as far. Sometimes, the problem may be so bad that the speaker can not even be heard.

It is important to note, this bug is not limited to making calls. Any application that requires the sound of the built-in microphone is hampered by this problem. Obviously, this can make things difficult, as the use of Google Now, voice dictation, and many other common activities. Below you can see some examples with and without the headset.

Workarounds

– workarounds options are somewhat limited, but there are some. The easiest, but most expensive, option is to replace the current wired headset or use Bluetooth headsets.

– For a cheaper alternative, some people have tried OMTP adapter-to-CTIA (which are very cheap). But strangely, the results have been mixed. In some cases, seems to completely solve the problem, but others say that it could make things worse.
