One of the bugs in this new version depicts the problems with autonomy in Huawei Nexus 6P. Looking at the problem more in detail, we note that the terminal after perform some functions is with the black screen and only if you can reverse the situation by connecting the smartphone to the charger.

In the video that you can see below you can observe the problem in question, where the user after having taken a few simple photographs, the smartphone simply "dies" and only back to give a sign of life after being connected to the charger. Only later you see the battery icon appear, and seemingly everything back to normal.

Other people who commented the video on Reddit also have complaints after you have updated to the new version of Android 7.0 Nougat. Some arrive even to complain about problems with autonomy and the complete closure when the terminal displays 25% of the battery.

However, there is no reason for alarm, and all of these problems can, and surely will be, fixed with a simple update.

The Nexus 6P is an excellent terminal and if you are thinking about acquiring it, you can see our review below and hopefully all your questions are answered.

Nexus 6P suffers from ‘death’ the sudden when you upgrade to Android 7.0 … – Tudocelular.com

Owners of the smartphone Nexus 6P, the last of the family Nexus before the arrival of the new Google Pixel has recently arrived to Brazil, have had a serious problem with the update the unit to Android 7.0 Nougat. According to reports from multiple users on Reddit and in videos posted on YouTube, the cell phone would be “dying” unexpectedly even with a lot of energy left in the battery.

In a series of videos that show the problem, a user displays a Nexus 6P running Android 7.0 with 53% of battery turns off quickly after taking a couple of photos with the app’s native camera. After the shutdown, the device does not respond to the on/off button, and only returns to active when connected to a power source using the original charger.

The problem would be occurring with models of the device running the final version of Android 7.0, already out of the testing program from Google. According to reports, the failure can be resolved with a reset complete of the settings of the smartphone, or, in some cases, only with the forced installation of the Preview of the Android 7.1.

Still do not know the real cause of the problem, but it is certain that is occurring with a part of the users. It remains unclear also if the “death’ sudden only occurs in some countries with builds of Android customized by the carriers or not. For now, the tip is to reinstall the ROM and test the battery life and, mainly, the functioning of the camera.

The Android 7.1. Nougat, which debuted at the Google Pixel, is still in the testing phase in the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X, but should be released in final version soon, possibly solving this and other bugs.

The Huawei Nexus 6P is available on the Submarine by R$ 2.499.

“‘If your cell phone is not an iPhone, Nexus or Pixel, it is unsafe … – Digital Look

No shortage of examples of security flaws in smartphones that enable the devices to be controlled by third parties. But according to Chris Soghoian, a technologist of the Union of Civil Liberties of the United States (ACLU acronym in English), this problem is even greater than we realize.

According to Soghoian, the only devices that are actually secure in the current market are the iPhones, Nexus devices, and the newly released Pixel, the Google. The iPhones because they incorporate trusted technologies of cryptography and security; the Nexus and the Pixel because they receive security updates in Google. All the others are susceptible to failures that compromise all of the data contained on the devices.

the Story of surveillance

The issue of security in smartphones has emerged as part of a speech Soghoian, during the Mozfest 2016, on the surveillance of the governments on the media. According to the activist, and technologist, “telecom companies have a history of more than a century of cooperation with the surveillance efforts of governments.” For this reason, “our communications systems were built with this surveillance in mind,” according to him.

There was, however, a positive change in this situation with the revelations made by Edward Snowden about the schema of mass surveillance of the government of the United States. Since then, Google has started to use the HTTPS secure protocol by default in your web browser, which initiated a process of strengthening the digital security.

Google has been followed by other tech giants, like Facebook and Apple, in their initiative to make HTTPS the default protocol. Currently, according to Soghoian, thanks to these attitudes, more than half of the traffic that circulates in the Firefox browser, from Mozilla, uses this protocol.

digital Security as a privilege

When smartphones started to become common items of communication, however, that safety culture was not yet so strong. For this reason, many users of these devices end up having an attitude little safe with the data that they share with technology companies.

The Apple is a positive example, since it has been incorporated-disk encryption by default on their iPhones. In addition, the company releases quickly security updates to their users. In this way, the majority of iPhone users have the latest version – and more secure – from your operating system. Android, on the other hand, “is a freak show with regards to security,” said Soghoian.

This, however, created a situation in which the digital security on smartphones has become a kind of privilege. “Yes, the iPhone is safe, but it costs$ 600. This generates the risk that the digital security is a luxury, something only accessible to those who can pay for it,” said the activist. This situation, in the opinion of Soghoian, threatens to deepen social inequalities that already exist in the world.

Google Pixel, the Pixel XL, Nexus 6P and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge … – Tudocelular.com

Perhaps the most important requirement at the time of buying a new smartphone, even for those who want to take beautiful photos, for example, is to search on the settings of the battery of the device. Without a good load capacity and also the useful life of the same device can have the best hardware in the world, and even so not give the user a satisfactory experience.

If you are a frequent reader of the TudoCelular surely have seen the numerous tests that we have published here, are made by ourselves or by youtubers. And his latest, published by Max Lee on last Saturday (29), puts in evidence battery the newly released Google Pixel and Pixel XL with the Nexus 6P and also the Samsung Galaxy S7.

Before you start watching and checking which device led you to best, it is worth making some observations about the video. In the test all are in airplane mode and with the same intensity and brightness are connected on a single Wi-Fi network to the playback of a YouTube video at maximum resolution (1080p). Check it out below and place your bets!

Conclusion

The Huawei Nexus 6P, released in September of 2015 and, therefore, the oldest of the list, was the first to erase after 322 minutes (5 hours and 22 minutes), followed by the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with 372 minutes (6 hours and 12 minutes). In the dispute for the first place a surprise, the Pixel XL, which comes equipped with the largest number of Mah, blacked out first that its smaller version, in 496 minutes (8 hours and 16 minutes) against the incredible 527 minutes (8 hours and 46 minutes) of the Pixel.

With this, once again is proved that this question of the size of the battery is quite relative, depending on a number of other factors to cause the same to last more or less. And if you were in doubt which of the two versions of the Pixel to acquire, there’re a good reason not to disregard the minor.

LG introduces the LG U: a twin fake Nexus 5X | AndroidGeek – AndroidGeek

After the flop with the LG G5, LG does not want to lose more ground to its competitors, and today launched a new smartphone. We’re talking about the LG U, a device with characteristics very similar to a certain device Nexus released the not past, the LG Nexus 5X.

LG U

This “twin fake” Nexus 5X was presented in the homeland of LG, South Korea, and comes equipped with a screen of 5.2″ of Full HD resolution. The dimensions of the new device (147.6 x 73.2 x 7.7 mm and 135 g weight) and the front face are virtually the same as the smartphone created by Google and therefore the comparison becomes inevitable.

Both the phones come equipped with Android Marshmallow, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, and the similarities are here. In terms of processing, the LG U has a chip octa-core processor (possibly a Snapdragon 400 series) and a battery of 3000 mAh, while the Nexus 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 808 six-core and contains a cell of 2700 mAh.

LG-U-Two.jpg

There was a small upgrade in relation to the storage, as the LG U supports expansion via micro SD. From the point of view of the photo, the LG U comes with a rear camera of 13 MP and will have the capacity to take the best selfies with a front sensor of 8 MP in comparison with the module 12,3 MP + 5 MP Nexus 5X.

it Is in the back of the LG U what are the biggest differences to the model Nexus, with the loss of the sensor of fingerprints, and a glossy surface. Will be available in three different colors – black, white and pink – and will be available for purchase in South Korea in the coming days, with a price closer to €320. There is still no information about the availability of international LG U.

Google Pixel and Nexus 6P if you face a comparison of … – Tudocelular.com

The youtuber Max Lee decided to compare the photos taken with the brand new Google Pixel the Nexus 6P. The result is a video very interesting for almost 15 minutes.

Valid to remember that while the Google Pixel, made in partnership with HTC, features a camera with 12.3 MP, and the smartphone Nexus, which takes the name of Huawei, is a little bit lower, with 12 MP. However, the resolution of the second product is a little better with 4608 x 2592 p against 3968 x 2976 p seen in the Pixel.

See the video made available by the vlogueiro:

In some cases, such as the portraits of the daughter of Lee, below, is very clear the difference between the cameras, especially when talking about exposure, light and coloring the end. The youtuber also criticizes the fact that certain colors become many vivid, as the example of the van red, which can be seen in the video, and the images of the objects that are surrounding light sources.

A user of the famous forum Reddit does not like a lot of the conclusions drawn by Lee.

Honestly, I’m a user of the 6P, but this review is well biased. While the Pixel tends to expose too much, the images are definitely more pronounced than in relation to the 6P. I really realize that the images of the Pixel are visually more pleasing, independent of over-exposure.

Pixel Camera has failed uncomfortable in photos and videos; see examples

Android 25 Out

night mode Google Pixel seems to be not so good as well

Android 24 Out

Announced with pomp by Google and very well accepted by the public, Pixel and the Pixel XL feature one of the best cameras ever seen on smartphones. However, the devices do not fare as well as expected in some details. In the case of recording videos at night. In addition to the criticized granulation images, the handsets also feature a low image stabilization.

The two devices, with the main camera 12.3 MP, does not come with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization, also known as “optical image stabilization”), but rather with a EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization or “stabilization electronic image”). Such technology is considered more advanced compared to the earlier already that uses exclusively digital resources.

The group manages to hack the Nexus 6p and iPhone 6s in just 5 … – Tudocelular.com

A group of chinese hackers known as Tencent Keen Security Lab Team won$ 215.000 for performing three feats with success on the Nexus 6P and iPhone 6s. They managed to hack the devices, during the MobilePwn2Own 2016, event, Trend Micro, where the team collected more than half of the money offered as a prize to anyone who could hack the devices Nexus 6P, the Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6s.

The team broke down completely security of the Nexus 6P fixed and up to date on his first attempt, just five minutes, combining the two exploits of the Android pre-existing, and then exploring ‘other weaknesses of the operating system”. With this, they were able to install a malicious application without the need of any user interaction. Only with this hack, they abocanharam more than$ 100,000.

then, the hackers have addressed the iPhone 6s and also have managed to install a malicious app, but it does not resist to a reboot due to a default setting, which prevented the persistence. Por that this attack was the least valuable, but still, the ZDI has awarded the hacker with$ 60,000 by the vulnerabilities that they used in this attack.

in addition, we have exploited two vulnerabilities iOS and they stole the images of the device, performance by which the team received$ 52.500. This exploit was made even shortly after the update of Apple iOS 10. However, a tweet from the Team Keen indicated that they are able to make the attack work successfully on iOS 10.1 also.

With that out of the total of US$ 375,000 offered by the Zero Day Initiative from Trend Micro by the exploit of the three devices, the researchers of the team Keen pocketed US$ 215.000.

Google Pixel and Pixel XL official: goodbye Google-Nexus – Leak

As expected, Google today announced the Google Pixel and the Pixel XL, consolidating the range Pixel as the range flagship, adding two smartphones to the top of a lineage that already includes tablets, and Chromebooks.

it Is, therefore, the goodbye of the name Nexus, and perhaps it is then fair that the new Pixel are manufactured by the same HTC that made the first Nexus and the first smartphone commercially available with the Android operating system, the HTC Dream in 2008.

The specifications will not be already a surprise. The biggest difference between the Pixel and the Pixel XL is the larger screen of the latter. In addition to 5.5 inches compared to 5 inches of its brother smaller, and QHD resolution compared to the FHD. However, both offer AMOLED screens.

For the rest, the two brothers Pixel are fundamentally identical: both come with the new Snapdragon 821 and 4GB of RAM, with internal memory between 32GB and 128GB. The cameras remain in the 12MP of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6P, adding electronic stabilization of the image. Both also come with finger print sensor.

Google introduces these cameras more software than electronic stabilization, namely, a mode HDR+, which seems much improved compared to what is the HDR of the day-to-day may be almost useless to expect that the user hold the smartphone still for a long process of capturing multiple images, or to introduce color and shade unreal. Google, however, seems quite proud of the operation discreet your HDR mode, and your speed. However we can only judge, when we have one of the devices in hand.

the Last significant difference between the two devices is the battery 2,770 mAh for the Pixel, and 3,450 mAh battery for the Pixel XL.

Both devices are perfectly top, but in a world of highly competitive, Google seems to have wanted to go further: both the Google Pixel are the spearheads of the entire ecosystem. And Google promises to be quite aggressive with its marketing and support.

on the one hand, the prices start at $ 649 for the Google Pixel 32GB and go up to $ 869 Pixel XL 128GB. This is just the beginning: all versions of Pixel include unlimited storage on Google Points to pictures in full resolution.

And if you give a time around six hundred Euros is not for everyone, it’s good news then that the purchase of the Pixel can be paid in up to 24 months.

The devices will still support 24 hours a day, although it has not been revealed at this time if the support will be available in all markets.

And our readers, what you think of the new Google Pixel?

Pixel, S7 Edge, LG V20 and Nexus 6P face in test … – Tudocelular.com

Google Pixel and Galaxy S7 Edge are among the best cameras on the market, but how will the two devices fare against the less-praised – at least in relation to their performances photo – LG V20 and Nexus 6P. Check out the following tests with five situations and different lightings.

Scenario 1

In the first image, the winner is the Pixel on account of the high dynamic range shown in the difference of colors displayed on the trunk of the tree and in the shadows. In second comes the S7 Edge by a minimum distance, followed by the LG V20 and the Nexus 6P, the device that exhibited the worst color representation of the quartet.

Scenario 2

In the second picture, the situation changes from the figure, because there are winners different for the two categories of evaluation. The LG V20 was the one that photographed the flowers with better color and exposure, followed closely by the Nexus 6P and then by the double S7 Edge and Pixel. Now, when the subject is the level of details, the smartphone of the Google wins with ease, putting the Nexus 6P in the second.

Scenario 3

In the third photo, the Pixel is again the best mainly due to the quality of the image processing and exposure well done. In second comes the Nexus 6P, with good processing but not so effective in the exposure of light. The LG V20 is the third because you can many of the details, but it ends up by blurring some areas. At last comes the S7 Edge, which always processes the remaining images with objects far too.

Scenario 4

In the fourth photo, the worst is the Nexus 6P to display the colors of the lights very different tone orange real. Tied in second and third come Pixel and S7 Edge, leaving the front for the LG V20, which not only exhibited the right brightness of the lights, but it showed many details in the image with zoom.

Scenario 5

In the last photo, in a night scene with low light environment, the Nexus 6P goes again to the fore, thanks to a better level of exposure of the lights and level of detail of the grass. The Pixel is in the second despite the photo very well captured, but with a sky too blue.

Verdict

The Google Pixel wins more a comparative in general for lead and stay in the best positions in the tests, but by small margins. The difference between the results of the equipment is minimal under some conditions, and only emerge in scenarios with a specific light.

Check out the full review:

  • The Google Pixel is not yet available in stores in brazil. To be notified when it arrives .
  • THE LG V20 is not yet available in stores in brazil. To be notified when it arrives .
  • The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is available in the Casas Bahia by R$ 2.799. The cost-benefit is medium and this is the best model in this price range.
  • The Huawei Nexus 6P is not yet available in stores in brazil. To be notified when it arrives .

Immortal Galaxy Nexus also already has the Android 7.1 Nougat – AndroidGeek

If you are the owner of an "immortal" Galaxy Nexus and liked to enjoy the sweet taste of Android 7.1 Nougat, we have good news for you. Thanks to the developers of the program Unlegacy-Android is already possible to get it. This project, led by developers, MWisBest and Ziyan, you want to make available features of the current Android systems to hardware that is officially no longer supported. Where the Galaxy Nexus is the latest device from the list of devices of the team.

Galaxy-Nexus-review-39-SlashGear-820x420.jpg

The new ROM has been made available in a post on the forum XDA Developers and seems to be stable, despite some problems with the mobile data and some anomalies in the GPS. You can also have some problems when you try to connect to wifi networks on the 5GHz, but on the other hand, almost all of the fundamental characteristics appear to be functional.

The Galaxy Nexus was released in late 2011, and its last official update was to the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean . The handset has been kept alive over the years, much through the fault of independent developers, who release successive roms for this device.

http-%2F%2Fi.imgur.with%2FjJzBSno.png

Obviously to install this ROM with the Android 7.1 Nougat the device needs ROOT access, and a little patience, because at 5 years of age, we cannot expect the equipment to be able to run this firmware with the same fluidity of the latest equipment.

If by chance you have the Google Nexus and is to try the ROM, tell us your opinion of how it was.

Overcoming the line Nexus! Pixel and Pixel XL are sold out in the shop … – Tudocelular.com

The new smartphone from Google, which came on the market under the brand name Pixel, is of the utmost importance for the new phase of the company. The search giant aims to compete head on with Apple by developing its own hardware and software, as well as usher in various physical stores in the United States, and it appears that the company is on the right path.

All versions of Pixel and Pixel XL is completely sold out in the online store of Google in the United States. The company has not yet revealed when a new stock will be available, but this makes it clear that the recent releases of the company which really pleased the audience.

And the Pixel and Pixel XL does not come out of virtual shelves only from the Google Store. Both on Verizon and in Best Buy, first to receive the new smartphone from Google, almost all the models are exhausted. Only the Pixel 32 GB is still available, but must exhaust soon also.

Both models come with hardware to simulate, changing only the screen size and resolution, as well as the capacity of the battery. This way, you will find a unit top of the line with the Snapdragon chipset 821, 4 GB of RAM, 12-megapixel camera on the rear (voted the best in the market), front-facing camera of 8 megapixel and Android 7.1 Nougat.

The templates should not be posted here, unfortunately. For those who have interest in import, a dismantling of the Pixel XL shows that the new smartphone of Google is easy to be repaired, which will help reduce costs of possible repairs, since the same would not have warranty in our market.

Google bringing daylight-saving Wi-Fi Assistant to all Nexus phones – The Verge

Starting in the coming weeks, Google is adding a new data-saving perk for owners of its Nexus smartphones. Called Wi-Fi Assistant, the feature lets your device automatically connect to millions of open and free Wi-Fi hotspots in an effort to cut down on data use and optimize mobile data speeds. Prior to today, the feature was exclusive to Google’s Project Fi cell service. It will now be broadly available to any Nexus phone owner in the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, and Nordic countries, Google says.

To find Wi-Fi Assistant, head over to the Android Settings app, tap Google, tap Networking, and from there you can then toggle the feature on and off. If your phone is connected via Wi-Fi Assistant, you’ll see the small key in the upper corner of your device. The icon is identical Android s virtual private network (VPN) icon, but in this case it will indicate the connection to the free Wi-Fi network. If you’d rather not connect to that network, you can tap “forget” by pressing and holding on the network name in the Wi-Fi settings panel.
