Acer Officially Announces Iconia A1, its competitor against ... - Tecmundo

handset leaked by French store Minimachines officially surfaced. According to Wired Market, which received the announcement by Acer, the Iconia A1 comes with the aim of “head to head” with the smaller tablets like the Nexus 7 and the iPad mini.

Among the highlights of the Iconia A1, we introduce two new tools touch. The first is the possibility to connect the tablet and open an application (defined by you) automatically by simply pressing the five fingers of one hand on the screen. But when it is turned on, but wait, just tap with two thumbs hand to unlock the device and open another app.

With the official announcement, we have a list of specifications of the device – and this shows that the previously leaked information was correct. But we also have some new data:

If you’re interested in the Iconia A1, we must warn that unfortunately will have to wait a bit, since the tablet comes only in June. At least the prices have already been confirmed: the 8GB model will cost $ 169.99 (R $ 339), while the 16GB will be available for $ 199.99 (R $ 399).
